I love how most cartoon characters are often too stupid to realized something is being tied around them and that their biting into their own limbs lol. Not only that, the wolf says he's starving but is too dumb to make a soup out of all the veggies and ingredients he got for the turtle.

I remember seeing this on a vhs I owned when I was a child. I think it was included with the Little Audrey cartoon Tarts and Flowers, and some stop motion animation type cartoon that I’ve never been able to find anywhere online. I know that it involved a mean dragon kidnapping a princess and taking her to a kingdom of gingerbread, and a young shoemaker named Mark volunteered to go and save her. I’ve searched everywhere and haven’t found it again.

Just goes to show that sometimes being first doesn't always mean the best. For example, there were other animated shorts well before Winsor McKay's Gertie the Dinosaur, but McKay's short did revolutionize the concept of the animated short, influencing more artist/animators than the ones that preceded Gertie. This may've preceded Steamboat Willie in terms of being the first sound cartoon, but Steamboat Willie sure did revolutionize the sound cartoon, that and it was more ambitious, funny, and memorable. Becky Sharp was the first live-action film in Technicolor, but The Wizard of Oz and Gone With the Wind both revolutionized Technicolor films in 1939.
